Zombait.org is an organization based on the public's love of the Undead. We try to use the power of the unknown and weird to help our local community while having a lot of fun in the process. lets face it- everybody loves Halloween. And zombie movies. But the fun can happen all year long and we can help our local nonprofit organizations while we have fun. Its like charity by hilarity!
We began in 2007 with Alaska's first zombie walk in fairbanks Alaska. It began as a whim of Marcus Mooers and grew. Enlisting Shawn Colburn, Tarah, and Megan Aubrey-Simmons for help, we began to get the word out through flyers and word of mouth. The Zombie Walk was hugely successful and we have been planning bigger and better things since. Realizing the power of the living dead, we decided to focus our aims on making a difference for our local NPO organizations. ALaska has very little in the way of social services and its up to the community to lend a hand- something Alaskans are known for. We pull together as a community.
